Nourish in: How often do you ask yourself what do I need? Stress comes from unmet needs. Basic needs like shelter, warmth and food, but also human needs like acceptance, appreciation, affection, attention. And the less we get what we want, the bigger that need becomes. We can look to others to fill the holes or we can look to our own resources. Tap into your creative energy and discover how you are in charge or nourishing you. You get to choose.

Week 3: Tuesday 26 September
Root down: Everything starts from a firm foundation, right? The root of a tree, the footings of a building. So, what are you rooting into? If you want a sustainable yoga practice, life and way of thinking you need to start by laying some solid groundworks. What do you need to ground before you can grow? This class explores the force of opposites and our ability to influence the flow of energy through the body and mind. Find integrity and work on releasing energy blockages to let your life force flow.

Week 4: Tuesday October 3
Power-up:From stability we can build strength. Wait…maybe you’re thinking yoga is about bendability not ‘bulkablity’. Ok, but here’s the thing, sometimes our muscles get tight because they are weak, and what they need most is strengthening. Only when they are strong enough, will they be able to loosen up and let go. In this class consider the purpose of your practice. Where are you taking on too much? What’s weak, what’s strong? And how do we get out of our own way and start supporting the natural dharma of our beautifully intelligent bodies.

Week 5: Tuesday October 10
Focus on: How much does your inner critic hold you back? You know, that part of you that says you can’t, you’re not good enough, you shouldn’t, it’s just not you, it won’t work for you… la la la la. Renewal is an inside job as much as it is an outside job. Keep telling yourself the same stories and you will end up with the same old book. If you want to renew it’s time to remove the obstacles that get in the way. So, edge out your negative self-talk, develop a successful flexible mind set and be free to move forward in your life with a whole lot more creativity.
